Our client is a global industrial manufacturer of coatings and similar for consumer and industrial applications  
Position Summary:
Responsible for leading the development and sustainment of the Plants continuous improvement program, working hands on with the Plants key stakeholders.  Supporting in the development and delivery of data driven improvements and efficiency across the overall value chain.  Strengthening, shaping, providing technical expertise, and coaching the implementation of a continuous improvements culture, encompassing core tools, frameworks, techniques, initiatives, standards, projects, and plant management processes aligned with continuous improvement program strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Plant in the collection of business baseline performance data such as OEE and Yield, aligning with a tiered meeting structure and ultimately leading to sustained improvement activities
  • Determine with the Plant meaningful metrics that are reflected in the Plant financials
  • Lead data driven continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to eliminate root causes of waste
  • Documentation of continuous improvement activities and projects
  • Establishment of Plant management processes to monitor progress and reporting against standards, by hour, shift, day, week, and month
  • Ascertain corrective and sustained preventative actions to eliminate deviations from the standard
  • Work on improvement programs to ultimately institute new standards and improved ways of working
  • Support the plant in the hourly/daily collection of relevant plant data, that will lead to improvement activity

Language Requirements:
  • Portuguese - Fluent – Required
  • English – Fluent – Required
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Continuous Improvement
  • Experience of and comfortable with working in a high paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience in working with and dealing with ISO processes and procedures 
  • Experience in driving and sustaining improvements
Qualifications:
  • Technical degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Business, Management or Operations related subjects – Required
  • Accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt – Required
  • Accredited Lean Six Sigma Black Belt – Desirable
  • Accredited Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt – Desirable
  • Technical Master’s Degree – Desirable
Timing:  Start October for 6 mos
