Interim COO/VP Ops (5837)

Our Private Equity client is seeking a resource to step in as interim VP Ops/COO at a $35m food manufacturing company in Colorado.  The operation is small with  growth opportunity - currently ~80 people.  The operations need strong leadership to drive several areas of improvement and help recruit/develop the right team:

• Planning (forecasting, production planning, MRP) currently done on spreadsheets, and needs to migrate to a proper planning system (the sister company in Ireland has already done this)
• Need for Ops focused KPIs and Metrics
• Inefficient warehouse layout and need for 3rd party warehouse support
• Improvements on production floor in areas of waste and yield

The resource should have - 

• Strong ops experience - consumer goods food manufacturing (baked goods or similar a plus)
• COO/VP Ops level experience in similar small/mid size company
• Turnaround type experience
• Strong leadership style and communications skills

Timing: as soon as identified.  Likely 6+ mos duration
Location: CO.  Will need to be mostly onsite.  Strong preference for local resources or at least regional
